Matric Results

2009 was a fantastic year for the matrics of Empangeni High School.  Our matrics performed well and several distinctions were achieved. Two of our learners namely: Tiaan Homann and Katinka Mansvelder achieved 8 distinctions each.  They were also under the top 5 achievers in the Zululand district.

Furthermore, the distinctions achieved in our top subjects are as follow:

  • LO – 133
  • English Home Language – 16
  • English First Additional Language – 14
  • Mathematics – 13
  • Music – 11
  • Accounting - 8

The pass rate that was achieved was 95%.

Our aim for 2010 is to improve on this rate and to get nothing less than a 100 % pass rate!!
