Grade 12 Educators honored by the Department of Education
The Gr 12 Educators, amongst others, were recently honored by the DoE at an Awards Ceremony at Ngwelezane. Certificates were received for 100% pass rates as well as distinctions obtained in the various subjects.
EHS also received the following awards:
* The Thuthukani/Ngwelezane Ward Shield for Excellence in Culture
* The Grantham Park Ngwelezane Shield for the Best All Rounder
and
* The Lower Umfolozi District Floating Trophy for Outstanding Matric Achievement for the Year

Twelve learners participated in the Annual Inter-schools Bass Fishing Competition held at Reding Dam on 21 March. EHS obtained 3rd place.
Ian Petzer caught the heaviest fish in the Gr. 8 to 10 Category with a Bass weighing 1,48 kg; Louis Grundlingh in Gr 11 won the Spirit Award for the 2nd consecutive year and finally, Almero Grobler and Pieter de Bruin won the heaviest bag for the Gr 12 category.
